2021 - KraftPal Advances Industrial Scale With Palletonator Development and Saudi Arabia Deployment

In 2021, KraftPal advanced its industrial-scale strategy through next-generation Palletonator development, pharmaceutical-sector trials and the launch of manufacturing activity in Saudi Arabia.

The Product Was Only Half the Technology

KraftPal's ability to scale depended on more than pallet design. The company also needed a manufacturing system capable of producing corrugated pallets at industrial volumes with repeatable quality.

The Palletonator

KraftPal developed proprietary automated production machinery under the Palletonator name. In October 2021, the company recorded work on a new generation of the production line using state-of-the-art technology and Industry 4.0 principles.

Entering More Demanding Industries

In August 2021, KraftPal reported successful trials with major pharmaceutical corporations and discussions around longer-term supply to production sites in Central Europe. Pharmaceutical logistics places particular emphasis on cleanliness, consistency and controlled processes, making the sector an important test environment for alternative pallet technologies.

Saudi Arabia Moves From License to Manufacturing

The GCC licensing relationship announced in 2019 progressed into physical deployment. In December 2021, KraftPal recorded the launch of its first manufacturing facility in the Middle East in Saudi Arabia following market development and regional trials.

The Mega-Factory Ambition

KraftPal's historical materials described plans for additional machines and a larger multi-location Saudi production strategy. Whether every planned element was ultimately deployed is separate from the significance of the milestone: the technology had progressed from a Slovenian R&D project into international manufacturing execution.
