Five rules to have enough time

When you observe successful people doing several different things, have you ever wondered, "How do they find the time to do all that?" The truth is, they don't. No one can do everything at once.

All successful people take the time to do what they think is important, and they cut away the superfluous. They push themselves to get as much done as possible in the time they have, and they do their best to prioritize to make sure the crucial aspects of their lives get done.

There are only 5 rules that needs to be followed in order to improve your time-management.

 

Determine your priorities.

Start your day by asking yourself what is the most important thing that needs to be done that day and what can be done later. Prioritizing your tasks will ensure that the important things get done on time. Remember that it's okay to let things take a back seat if there are more important tasks on your list, just don't forget them!

 

Learn to say 'no'.

Steve Jobs one said, "Focusing is about saying no." This means that if you want to be successful, you need to focus on what needs to be done instead of adding more and more to your to-do list, thereby lowering the overall quality of your work.

 

Align your actions.

If you want to bring plans to fruition, your actions must align with the plans. If your goal for today is to prepare social media posts for next week and the weekly letter for your clients, know that you need to create an undistracted environment so you can focus your creative energy. When you do, don't think about other tasks on your plate. You'll get them done later. Remember, focus on one task at a time.

 

Build a strong team around you.

Working in a team where everyone gets along and works together productively is the dream of many.  It's important to get the right people together to work as a team. You know … You can have exceptional individuals, but if you let them work together, it's a disaster. The 21st century technology allows you to calculate compatibility and strength of the team.

 

Cut the fluff.

Think about your daily routine. Can you find moments when you waste your time on unimportant things, like checking the news, Facebook or Instagram feeds? You may find that you have up to an hour of extra time. What could you do with an extra hour in your day?
